We understand that navigating the education system and your career is challenging! Be it for immigrant families, first generation college students, new immigrants, or Ethiopian-American children born in the U.S., knowing how to find the right resources can be very difficult. That’s why we created A&G Foundation!

A community that helps each other thrives and grows as a community! We want to share what we know – our namesake Almaz and Getahun were Ethiopian immigrants who immigrated to the U.S. over 20 years ago and raised 3 children. Our backgrounds collectively consist of expertise in public health, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, operations, corporate marketing, business strategy, patent law, entrepreneurship, leadership, mentoring/tutoring, organizational development, etc. In addition, our personal experiences include internship participation, full-time job searches, recruiters at conferences, job interviewers, resume designers/editors, graduate school students, etc. While we bring a variety of experiences and knowledge to the table, we know the there is a wealth of information within many of our community members.

At A&G Foundation our mission is to be the bridge that provides access to knowledge, resources, and opportunities to the Ethiopian Community. Our vision is to enable members of the community to reach their fullest potential – however they define it!
